A laser engraver is used in these portraits to capture the sublime qualities of the depicted Biblical figures. The power and invisibility of the laser is otherworldly, almost magic, akin to the story in the Old Testament book of Daniel. The undulating lines appear to rise, speaking further to sublimation, and mirror the stacked lines of radio signals emanating from pulsars (super-dense stars emitting enormous levels of energy).
